Chicken Lovage

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tablespoon chopped lovage leaves

  • 1/4 cup of white wine

  • 1/4 cup of chicken broth

  • 2 butter spoons

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a large skillet, sauté the garlic in the butter until golden.

Add the lovage leaves and cook for another minute.

Add the wine and chicken broth and cook until slightly reduced.

Place the chicken breasts on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Pour the lovage and garlic mixture over the chicken breasts.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. serve and enjoy.

Turkey with Lovage Herb

Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey

  • 1/4 cup chopped lovage leaves

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, etc.)

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup of red wine

  • 1/4 cup of chicken broth

  • •2 butter spoons

  • •Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a bowl, mix the lovage leaves, fresh herbs, garlic, red wine, chicken broth, butter, salt, and pepper.

Place the turkey on a baking sheet and rub the herb mixture over the turkey.

Cover the turkey with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Remove foil and continue cooking for 30 more minutes, or until turkey is cooked through. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

  • 1 lemon, squeezed

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a bowl, mix together the lovage leaves, fresh herbs, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Arrange the fish fillets on a baking sheet and rub the herb mixture over the fish.

Beef Stew

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of pork (loin, rib, etc.)

  • 1/4 cup chopped lovage leaves

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 cup of red wine

  • 1/4 cup of chicken broth

  • 2 butter spoons

  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a large skillet, sauté the onion and garlic in the butter until golden.

Add the lovage leaves and cook for another minute.

Add the wine and chicken broth and cook until slightly reduced.

Add the pork rashers and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Serve and enjoy.

  • 2 lbs. beef (cut into chunks)

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 grated carrots

  • 2 branches of chopped lovage

  • 2 cups of meat broth

  • 1 cup of red wine

  • 2 tablespoons of flour

  • •Salt and pepper to taste

Heat the oil in a pot over medium-high heat and add the meat. Sauté the meat until golden.

Add the onion, carrots, and lovage and cook until soft.

Mix beef broth, wine, flour, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low. Cover pot and cook for 2 hours or until meat is tender.

Serve hot with rice or bread.

Vegetable Soup with Lovage

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 2 grated carrots

  • 2 branches of chopped lovage

  • 4 cups of vegetable broth

  • 1 cup of cooked brown rice

  • 1 cup of cooked chickpeas

  • 1 cup of chopped spinach

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat and add the onion, carrots, and lovage. Cook until soft.

Add the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.

Add the rice, chickpeas, and spinach and cook for a few more minutes.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

  • 1 cup of cooked quinoa

  • 1 cup of chopped spinach

  • 1 cup of blueberries

  • 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts

  • 2 branches of chopped lovage

  • 2 tablespoons lemon vinaigrette

  • Salt and pepper to taste

In a large bowl, mix together the cooked quinoa, spinach, cranberries, walnuts, and lovage.

Add the lemon vinaigrette and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Stir well to mix the ingredients.

Serve cold as a side salad or as a main dish.
