Caramel Chicken with Onion

Ingredients

4 chicken breasts

1/2 cup of brown sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/4 cup of rice wine

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

2 tablespoons of olive oil

2 cups of chopped onion
Mix brown sugar, lemon juice, rice wine, and soy sauce in a bowl.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 3-5 minutes per side or until cooked through.
Add the chopped onion and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until soft.
Add the brown sugar mixture and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the chicken is covered in a caramelized sauce. Serve hot.

Baked Turkey with Onion and Herbs

Ingredients

1 whole turkey

1 cup of chopped onion

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary

1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme

1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano

1/4 cup of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a bowl, mix the onion, garlic, fresh herbs, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Place the turkey on a baking sheet and top with the onion mixture.
Bake for 2 hours and 30 minutes or until turkey is cooked. Serve hot.

Steamed Fish with Onion

Ingredients

4 fish fillets (you choose the species)

2 cups of chopped onion

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon grated ginger

1/4 cup of fish broth

2 tablespoons of sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste
Heat a pot with water until it boils.
On a steaming tray, place the fish fillets and top with minced onion, garlic, ginger, fish stock, sesame oil, salt and pepper.
Put the tray in the pot with boiling water and close the lid.
Cook for 8-10 minutes or until fish is cooked. Serve hot.

Grilled Pork Ribs with Onion and Ginger

Beef with Onion and Mushrooms

Ingredients

1 kg of pork ribs

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 tablespoons grated ginger

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

2 tablespoons of honey

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste
In a bowl, mix the onion, ginger, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Rub the mixture over the pork ribs and leave them to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Place ribs on grill and cook for 6-8 minutes per side or until done. Serve hot.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook for 3-5 minutes per side or until browned. Remove the meat from the pan and reserve.
Add onion, mushrooms, garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes or until soft.
Add the red wine and dried thyme. Let cook for one more minute.
Add the beef back to the pan. Let cook over medium-low heat for 20-30 minutes or until meat is tender and cooked through. Serve hot.

Ingredients

1 cup of chopped carrot

1 cup of frozen peas

4 cups of vegetable broth

1 tablespoon dried thyme

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes or until soft.
Add the potatoes, carrots, peas, vegetable broth, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cook over medium-low heat for 20-30 minutes or until vegetables are soft. Serve hot.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes or until soft.
Add the potatoes, carrots, chickpeas, tomato, curry, ginger, vegetable broth, salt, and pepper.
Let cook for 20-30 minutes or until the vegetables are soft and the curry is cooked. Serve hot with rice.
